MIDDLETON, Wis. and MIAMI, Fla. — June 29, 2026 — Gentueri, Inc. and Pro Lab Corporation announced today the donation of 10,000 GenSwab sample-collection devices to the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research, known as the Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas (IVIC).
The donation is intended to support IVIC’s emergency-response efforts following the recent earthquake in Venezuela. The collection devices will be used by IVIC’s Genetic and Forensic Studies Unit to collect and preserve human samples for identification, genetic analysis and other disaster-response needs.
“In the aftermath of a natural disaster, reliable collection and preservation of human samples can play an important role in identification of the victims and forensic analysis,” said Randy Nagy, CEO of Gentueri. “We are grateful for the opportunity to support IVIC and the people of Venezuela during this critical time.”
GenSwab devices are designed to simplify the collection, handling and long-term preservation of biological samples.
IVIC formally accepted the donation on June 29, 2026, noting that the supplies are arriving at a time of significant need and will support the collection of human samples required for identification and genetic analysis following the disaster.
Pro Lab Corporation is coordinating the international logistics and has agreed to cover the cost of transporting the donation to Venezuela. IVIC will coordinate customs clearance, nationalization and receipt of the shipment once it arrives in the country.
“We are proud to work with Gentueri and IVIC to help ensure these critical supplies reach the scientists and forensic professionals who need them,” said Miguel Marrero, owner of Pro Lab Corporation. “Supporting the shipment is one tangible way we can assist Venezuela’s disaster-response efforts.”
Gentueri and Pro Lab are working with IVIC to finalize the shipping documentation and customs requirements necessary to deliver the devices as quickly as possible.
